Within Borderland Legion, and indeed the game itself, there are not many of us who have had the chance to wield a legendary orange item. In the past the guild has had Sulfuras, hand of Ragnaos, Thunderfury, and one of the two Warglaives of Azzinoth. So when the opportunity to obtain a new legendary item arose the officer corps voted unanimously for one of our regular members to be the wielder of the new mace that Blizzard made for healing classes, and that person was our Italian restoration druid, Hornjolf.
Following a rather lengthy campaign over the summer to collect all thirty shards, and several tries on Yogg-Saron without a keeper up, we were able to field a great raid this week to take him down. After only a handful of tries, the Old God suffered a terminal case of indigestion in phase 3 due to a certain druid force-feeding him the collection of shards. Now Hornjolf is having fun pretending to be a pseudo-paladin with all the bubbles the combination of his healing prowess and Val'anyr brings, while responding patiently and politely to the multitude of whispers that simply wielding such an item brings. So if you see Hornjolf around in Dalaran, please feel free to whisper him and ask where he's got that mace from, you will almost certainly be the only person that day to ask him!
