One of the things we have noticed with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion so far, is that with the normal content we often do not make a song and dance about killing the bosses. In part because well, we're somewhat lazy. But also - especially with the Trial of the Crusader - the content was so laughably easy that it could be pugged and cleared in an hour. Happily, Icecrown Citadel has opened up and without the Ashen Verdict poking their sanctimonious noses in and buffing the raid, things are a little more difficult.
Occassionally something will pop up that is actually quite fun, or perhaps there was a boss in normal that we particularly struggled with for a while and then were able to one-shot the next time around, which gives us a little cause for celebration. If we can also remember in our senility to take a screenshot, then we're likely to make a post about it. Thankfully The Plagueworks wing is fairly fun and we've also remember to take a screenshot or two.
The Festergut fight has some very simple mechanics, making it pretty much an extreme tank and spank fight which we were able to take down on our second ever try. The "ordinary gas cloud" floating around Festergut eventually contributes to the kind of tank damage you'd expect to see coming from an A-10. Thankfully though, help was at hand with some noxious gases from one of our own methane-powered bovines to even the playing field, as you can see.
Rotface on the other hand, is a little more complex requiring good awareness and co-ordination. When we read that description of the fight we knew we were going to be in trouble! I'm sure every guild has their own sacrificial raiding mascot, and we are no different. No raid is truly complete without our co-GM enhancement shaman Gildagor dying at some point - and the more often the better (so we tell our healing crew anyway). With the repeated sacrifices we were offering, of course we were going to get this one despatched too:
This just leaves us with Putricide to knock off. At the time of writing we've reached phase 3 and have a good tactic that we employ in the 10man to depatch him easily - I'm sure with enough shaman sacrificies he too will be gracing these pages at some point in the near future - assuming that we remember to take a screenshot of course!
