Continuing in the theme of "we're really quite behind on our kill stories but will post them anyway", we proudly present Sindragosa - the dragon who's icy winds of naaaarthreeeend will consume your saaaaaauuul.

Once you get beyond the rather emotive voice acting, the Sindragosa encounter is fairly simple. It has a slice of the "run away from the bad stuff that kills you" pie combined with generous lashings of "don't blow yourself up" topping. The only real trick is with the running away part - you have to run out of danger in a specific way, and at the right time or eat the bad stuff pie. And rest assured, we ate a lot pie.
Whilst the fight might sound to you, dear reader, as something simple, you'd be surprised how hard it can be. Imagine a room full of cats and you're trying to all get them to stand in a line behind each other - you have ten seconds starting now.... you get the idea.

This year has seen the return of the blood-suckers into the public's psyche, and this gives us a tenuous excuse to link our recent triumph over the Blood Queen encounter in 25man Icecrown Citadel to the equally annoying Twilight book series.
Unlike efforts involving the pale-skinned bra-wearing 2-dimensional manufactured cartoon character with bad voice acting, the Blood Queen actually requires all 25 people to pay full attention for the duration of the encounter without making a single mistake. If you haven't seen the fight yet, it revolves around passing a vampiric bite from person to person in order to maximise DPS, while avoiding some other "stuff that kills you", particularly the bloodbolt splash when she ge
ts up and boogies. Much like I find trying to watch Twilight, there's a 5' 30'' minute enrage timer after which proceedings are bought to a rather abrupt end, although whilst with the Blood Queen you might see 24 other dead people the only thing that dies from trying to watch Twilight is your faith in humanity.
Server lag (yes folks, we still have it on raid nights), disconnects, and numerous deaths to the splash later, and we were able to put it all together to get a magic kill a second or two into the enrage - and boy did that ever feel good. However, she did have a rather nasty surprise in store....

Can the legion overcome the dastardly Professor Putricide and his evil concoctions, throwing out more slime and ooze than a field full of Tauren with swine flu ? You betcha.

One of the things we have noticed with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion so far, is that with the normal content we often do not make a song and dance about killing the bosses. In part because well, we're somewhat lazy. But also - especially with the Trial of the Crusader - the content was so laughably easy that it could be pugged and cleared in an hour. Happily, Icecrown Citadel has opened up and without the Ashen Verdict poking their sanctimonious noses in and buffing the raid, things are a little more difficult.
